Scone Palace Garden Fair confirms Kids Go Free for its Fourth Year with a Festival of Gardening in 2025

Scone Palace Garden Fair is delighted to announce its return for a fourth spectacular year. Scheduled for Friday, May 30th, and Saturday, May 31st, 2025, this true festival of gardening will take place at the historic Scone Palace, known as the Crowning Place of the Scottish Kings.

A highlight of next year’s Fair is the focus on inspiring the gardeners of the future. The event wants to encourage children to be part of the gardening community while spending time outside and reconnecting with nature. In an exciting move, children under 16 will enjoy free entry, making it an ideal family outing.

Building on the success of this year’s event, which welcomed the most visitors to date with over 6,000 attendees, the 2025 Scone Palace Garden Fair promises to be even more impressive. The Fair continues to grow and attract an audience both nationally and internationally, cementing its place as a premier event in the Scottish horticultural calendar.

Next year, the Fair expands its celebration of Scottish gardening excellence, featuring the best plant nurseries, garden centres, and societies from across the country. Set on the palace’s main lawns, the event will also showcase marvellous Makers offering garden-related crafts and outdoor furniture specialists presenting their finest creations.

Visitors will also have full access to the stunning gardens and grounds of Scone Palace. Highlights include scenic woodland walks, the towering conifers in the Victorian Pinetum, the recently opened Walled Garden, and the challenging Murray Star Maze, ensuring a memorable experience for all ages.

“We are thrilled to confirm the fourth Scone Palace Garden Fair, now a full-fledged festival of gardening,” said Brian Cunningham (Head Gardener). “With free entry for children under 16 and early bird discounts, we are making it easier than ever for families and future gardeners to join in the celebration of Scottish gardening excellence. Following the success of our third year, we look forward to continuing to grow and attracting an even wider audience both nationally and internationally.”

Early bird ticket purchasers will receive a 20% discount, with a limited release of these tickets now available for sale. For more information and to book tickets, please visit scone-palace.co.uk.
