If you have worked hard to grow your own potatoes this year, you need to store them properly to ensure they do not rot.

Dig out your potatoes on a dry day and do not wash off the soil, just gently shake or rub it off if you need to. If you wash then store potatoes, the damp skin can lead to them rotting.
Potatoes are best kept in a dark, cool, dry place like a shed or garage and off the ground in case you have any friendly visitors.
Wash just before you cook them…and enjoy your tatties from plot to plate!
