The inaugural Scottish Garden Show is to be held at Scone Palace over the Bank Holiday weekend on 29th-31st May 2021 and now tickets are on sale.

As more of us spent time at home last year during the ongoing pandemic, we turned to gardening as a way to unwind, enjoy the benefits of outdoor space with family and friends, take on gardening projects, and experiment with growing our own fruit and vegetables The joys of home-schooling also allowed parents to garden with their children as both a fun and educational activity.
The Scottish Garden Show will take place over three days and promises to be the perfect day out for gardening enthusiasts of all ages. Visitors can enjoy the historical setting of Scone Palace, ‘The Crowning Site of Scottish Kings’ and one of Scotland’s most prominent visitor attractions. The show will take place across the Palace Gardens, including the magnificent towering conifers of the Victorian Pinetum. A line-up of top nurseries selling an assortment of plants, trade stands selling gardening products, gardening workshops, competitions, family friendly activities, and a food area will be available for visitors to the show.
With Covid-19 set to be a feature in our lives for a while yet, the event, which is run in partnership with Scone Palace and events management experts Strathmore Events Services, has been extended to three days to allow for additional social distancing and other Covid-19 safety measures. Strathmore Event Services brings a wealth of knowledge on virus protocol and event management that will be applied during The Scottish Garden Show.
Lady Mansfield of Scone Palace comments, “It is exciting to see so many people take up gardening during the pandemic. We appreciate the benefits of gardening in our day to day lives and we have a long history of creative gardening and landscaping here at Scone Palace dating back to the 12th century and most recently with our Head Gardener, Brian Cunningham, who is a regular face on BBC’s Beechgrove Garden and who will be instrumental in curating The Scottish Garden Show.”

“The event promises to showcase something for everyone, whether you are a novice or professional gardener, young or old, you are sure to find inspiration for your own garden during your visit.”
