Lucy Bloom is a container gardener living on the side of the Forth and Clyde canal. Lucy has been gardening for five years and has been on Beechgrove three times showing off her wee balcony in Maryhill. Her gardening philosophy is: buy local, recycle, keep it cheap, and balance beauty with practicality.
“Between buying fully grown plants, having to shell out for pricey pots and buying garden staging, it’s easy to see why gardening has a reputation for being a hobby for people with money. What I found over the last few years though is that gardening can be cheap, gardening can be accessible and gardening can actually save money in the long run!”
